This was a team project consisting of myself and two other Dunwoody students, Cory Williams and Kristin Benusa. We represented Dunwoody in the 2023 Independent Packaging Association (AICC) Student Design Competition and won first place for our structural design. This is an annual competition that allows students to showcase their talent and creativity to corrugated packaging and display professionals from around the world. Our challenge was to design a cost-effective and innovative way to package 1 hammer, 4 light bulbs, and 1 box of nails. Our design won because it was simple yet smart, reconfigurable, easy to produce and assemble, cost-effective, and sustainable.
